About IQAC
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC) of City College was formed on 26/08/2014. Since then, IQAC has been performing a stellar role in enhancement of quality in the Institution and its up keep. The body has directed and initiated various measures for a comprehensive growth of the Institution.
The vision of IQAC as stated in the Guidelines for the Creation of the body is -
To ensure quality culture as the prime concern for the Higher Education Institutions through institutionalizing and internalizing all initiatives taken with internal and external support.
With this vision in mind, the IQAC:

Keeps a continuous record of the teaching, research and departmental activities.

Takes the annual feedback from the stakeholdersvis a vis teaching, infrastructural facilities and other amenities of the college.

Conducts Mock Academic and Administrative Audits of each department with the help of College Administration.

Oversees the submission of Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR).
The Cell collaborates with various departments in conducting seminars and value-added courses.
Clarity is maintained in the admission process following the directives of the Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal. The use of computers/smart board in pedagogy is encouraged. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in administration has been promoted.

Introduction of Mentor-Mentee system for better interaction with students.

Measures initiated for repair of the 100+ year old college building.
