Plan of action for the next academic year:
- The College has plans to make the campus "Plastic-free" zone and the college is taking substantial initiatives to ensure its proper implementation. In addition, the college also has a plan to declare the campus as "smoke-free" and to implement the same with strict regulation. Teachers, non-teaching staff, and students are all barred from smoking inside the college grounds. At all levels, serious attempts would be made to implement the same.
- College will set up water purifiers or water coolers on various floors as well as in various departments. We will be able to deliver filtered cool drinking water to all stakeholders once the project is completed. Providing pure and safe drinking water to all students, faculty, and other college-affiliated bodies is a prime concern for us.
- Our institution is located on the side of a very busy road, and we see a lot of traffic during the day, particularly during college hours. To make it safe and convenient for our students as well as the general public, we need to build a Pedestrian-friendly sidewalk, a Zebra-crossing on the road in front of the campus in collaboration with Kolkata Traffic Police and Amherst Street Police Station, as well as a few Speed breakers, to lower car speed and eliminate inadvertent collisions. A No-horn zone sign has also been placed on the route to raise public awareness and prevent interruptions caused by the highpitched sound from automobiles.
